I say YES to cute boots

So my tall brown boots that I have had since junior year of college have officially died.

They had a great run though. Literally. I wore them all around France, Italy, and England and when S. and I were still at the Eiffel Tower and realized we needed to catch our train to Nice in 20 minutes I ran in them too. (We didn't miss our train- THANK GOODNESS)

But anyways- it was time for a new pair. I have been loving the exposed zipper trend of this season.

And right before Thanksgiving I bought these sexy numbers.

Unfortunately you can't see the exposed zipper up the back or the exact finishing of the leather but they are beautiful. I'm a little concerned that they are too sexy but hey- I'm 23! If not now then when?!

When I tell you!?

I feel like I think about this a lot. I'm young but I don't want to seem too sexy. At least not everyday- sexy for the right occasion is important ;)

Do you ever think about this? Issue? Predicament? I don't know what to call it. But I am very aware of it. Am I the only one?

Do you embrace your age and sexiness? How? When?

OK so this post became more than just me gushing about my new boots. It also makes me sound like I think I am the bees knees- and while I think it is important to have positive self esteem- that was not really the point here...... hummmm. I would love to hear your thoughts.

What I'm Listening To...

FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE!

Specifically the new album Ceremonials. And even more specifically this one:

But honestly I listen to the whole album on repeat. I also really love the last song on the album which is a remix water. I honestly rock out in my car, by myself, and it usually happen to come on after yoga, but never the less I'm rockin out. Ahh it makes me smile just thinking about the good times I've had alone in my car with that song. OK now I sound creepy but you get the idea.

Shoe Fetish

This morning I was suddenly inspired to buy a pair of Keds. Ha. And so I did. Two pairs to be exact. They were on crazy sale and buy two get free shipping so I just had to do it.

I have been craving some navy casual shoes for a while now so today I did it and I couldn't be more excited for my package to arrive!

$24.95 baby! Champion Spectator

pretty and practical right?!

These last pair are similar to the L.L. Bean shoes I was coveting last year but are less than a third the price! Score! I can't wait to get my package!!

How is your Thursday going? I am VERY ready for the upcoming long weekend. Do you have any lovely plans? I am dying to get out of town. So I'll let you know if I make that happen!!

Better Late than Never...

Not me...

But Happy New Year!

Isn't she cute? I couldn't resist adding her to this post. My New Year's Eve party was not that fancy so I didn't get to get all dolled up like this. It was fun though!

So I have a couple of New Year's resolutions. I know some people don't believe in them but I actually stick to them so I do! I like to believe that each new year really is a great time to think about goals and hopes and making dreams come true. This year I have two goals. Well I guess three since.

1. Journal more often. I love looking back at past journal entries and always wish I took the time to write more of my 12, 15, 18, etc year old thoughts down. Now is the time. At least I will now have my 23rd year pretty well documented. :) and that brings me to my next point. Really 1 1/2...

1 1/2. Blog my thoughts more. And just plain blog more often. I really enjoy sharing the wonderful pretty things I think of/find so I need to make more time for it. Using Boyfriend's computer should help accomplish that!

2. Boyfriend and I have a goal together. hee hee hee. We want to join a flash mob group and do a flash mob!!! Have you guys ever witnessed one?! I have never had the privilege but just sincerely enjoy watching the you tube videos like this one:

or this one:

They just look so fun!!

So Boyfriend doesn't think we are good enough for the last one but I disagree! If we practice enough we can do anything!! The last one also looks like most of the people involved were just sent the routine and told to join in but never actually practiced together. I could do that! I think it might be more fun to meet to practice but depending on what is available in San Diego.

So I'm on a mission to write more and join a flash mob group. Help hold me accountable!

I just googled flash mob San Diego and some interesting options came up!! eeeeee! :)

Do you guys have any New Year's Resolutions? Share! I would love to hear about them!!

Love in the 21st Century

Credit
So when Boyfriend got home tonight I told him about my computer woes and he non-chalantly suggested I use his computer whenever I needed to.

Me: "Really?"
BF: "Sure. Since you have your kindle you have that to browse so you will barely need an actual computer. I'll even set up your own log in and give you some space on my hard drive."
Me: "How romantic!"

Now if that is not a sign of love in the 21st century then I don't know what is!

So I'm on my new login on his computer now and boy does it make this whole blogging thing easier!!! Hopefully I'll even get better at posting more regularly! Cross your fingers!!
